2018 was one of the best years ever, personally and professionally. It’s made me excited to see what 2019 has in store!
We say this every year, but WHERE DID THE TIME GO?
I can’t believe it’s officially 2019, and I’m internally freaking out a little bit. 2018 was such a great year for me, and I want this momentum to push into this new year. I’m not one to make resolutions or set ridiculous goals, but I do like to reflect on the previous year to see how I can continue to grow! Some are business related, some are funny, and some are personal. But all of these moments helped make 2018 AMAZING.
TOP 10 MOMENTS OF 2018
The rebrand
I kicked off 2018 with an announcement: Pink Champagne Problems was now officially The Champagne Edit! It’s been such a seamless transition, which makes me realize that rebranding was the best decision I could have ever made for my website! In June, I re-launched my site with a fresh new design and branding (thanks to
Empress Themes
and
Chandler Grace
)
!
I started a new job
I know I’ve talked about this a lot in the last few months, but leaving Perry Ellis was NOT an easy decision for me. I wrote more about it
here
,
here
, and
here
.
I signed with a management agency
This was probably the biggest moment EVER for my blog. There weren’t many “cons” to signing with an agency, but there were definitely a lot of “pros”. Mostly, I kept telling myself that this would
really
free up some time for me to remain creative. Instead of playing bad cop all of the time, chasing payments, worrying about deadlines and approvals, I now just focus on capturing the content and passing off to my manager. It’s also nice to have someone in your corner who’s pitching you for collaborations, helping with the back end invoices, and more!
My blog income doubled from last year
This is something I’m really proud of. With a traditional 9-to-5 job, I didn’t think this would have ever been possible. But in 2018, it was.
I cut my hair
After like 2 years without a hair cut and keeping my hair pretty damn long…
I decided to cut it
! AND…about a week ago I CUT IT AGAIN. I haven’t shot any new looks with it yet, but you’ll see it soon around here;)
My family is healthy
THANK YOU SWEET BABY JESUS FOR THAT!
Seeing Wicked FOUR times this year
I know. The addiction is real. But getting to see my favorite Broadway show 4 times in 2018 alone was really cool. It’s truly such a great story line and I can’t and SHAN’T with Jessica Vosk — her voice just kills me.
I started to go back to SoulCycle religiously
After a small break up with SoulCycle (I left it for Equinox), I got back into the groove shortly before my birthday in July). And I honestly am SO happy I did. I’m back into a routine (double on Mondays and Wednesdays and 1 weekend class), found an amazing SoulSquad, and feel better than ever!
I went on my first SYB trip
I’ve been wanting to go on an SYB trip for a really long time, but was always too afraid to do it. I’m happy I pulled the trigger and went on my
first trip to Miami
. Now I need to book my 2019 adventure;)
We launched Elle’s Edit
Working with my best friend is such a fun thing.
Elle has brought such amazing content
to The Champagne Edit, and I’m so thankful for her. I love how much you all love her posts, and I’m excited that we’ll be continuing into 2019!
As for 2019…
I can only hope to continue this momentum and keep bringing you content that is helpful, inspiring, and connects us in more ways than just “shop my outfit”. I want to thank each and every one of you for being part of my journey. You’ll never know how much your support means to me!
CHEERS!
